Turgenbay A. A. was born in 1976 in the Rayymbek district of Almaty region. In 1993, she entered the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, in 1999 graduated from the University with a degree in Oriental History. Since September 1999, she has been working as a senior lecturer in the Department of Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU . In 2013, she entered the magistracy of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, in 2015 received a master's degree in humanities in the specialty 6M020900-oriental studies. Turgenbay A.A. 1997-1998 - attended language courses in Lanzhou, China; 2004 attended a 1-month course for Chinese language teachers from Central Asian countries, organized by the Ministry of Education in Lanzhou, China; From 2008 to 2009, she studied at the state grant of the People’s Republic of China as part of the SCO at the Shenyang Pedagogical University of the Liaoning Province of the PRC; 2011 - took courses for Chinese teachers from Russia and Central Asia, organized by the Ministry of Education of Xinjiang, China; in 2012, she attended continuing education courses for Chinese teachers in the United States and Central Asia in Xiamen; In 2016, she completed a two-week advanced training course for Chinese language teachers at universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by Lanzhou University of the People's Republic of China. In addition to teaching, she is also actively involved in the public life of the faculty: since 2004 she has been a member of the trade union committee of the faculty, in 2004–2005 and 2012–2013, 2017–2018 she worked as an employee of the methodological bureau of the department. In the 2011-2012 academic year, she was deputy head of the department for academic and educational work. In 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, she was the deputy head of the department for scientific and innovative activities and international relations.
